　　LynehamHighSchool(LHS)isayear7-10comprehensiveschoolsituatedintheinnernorthareaofCanberra,ACT. EnrolmentshavebeensteadilyincreasingatLHSsince2007andtheschooliscurrentlyatcapacity. TheschooldrawsonstudentsfromacrossnorthernCanberraandthenumberofstudentsattendingtheschoolfromoutsidethepriorityenrolmentareahasremainedrelativelyconstantbeingapproximately55%ofthetotalstudentpopulationin2011.ThenumberofstudentsfromAboriginalandTorresStraitIslanderbackgroundandstudentsenrolledinspecialeducationclasseshavealsoremainedconsistent. However,thenumberofstudentswhocomefromlanguagebackgroundsotherthanEnglishhasbeensteadilyincreasing.Wecelebrateandvaluethediversityandrichnessthatthesestudentsbringtoourschool.

　　Whileprovidingadiverserangeofprograms,Lyneham'sstrongreputationcentresonthreeprogramswhichhavebecomeflagshipsfortheschoolandforpubliceducation. Thesearetheawardwinningbandandmusicprogram,theLynehamHighSchoolEnrichedAcademicProgram(LEAP)forgiftedandtalentedstudentsandtheSportingExcellenceatLyneham(SEAL)programfortalentedsportsstudents.
