ThemembersoftheinterimGoverningCouncilinclude;BevBradwell,JohnReeves,BernadetteParkhurst,AmandaBarker,WendyFry,LeanneDyer,JoBrown,ChrisO'Dea,PaulWhittenbury,GregBowden,TaniaGuestandTanyaDiLernia.Atournextmeeting,wewillbeconsideringarangeofissuesrelatedtotheclosingofourschoolsandreopeningnextyearasReynellaEastCollege,includingourschoolcolours,logo,anduniform.Wearealsoverykeentobeginanumberofcommitteesandsupportgroups,suchasaschoolSportcommitteeandtocontinueourParentandFriendscommittee.PleasecontactanymembersoftheGoverningCouncilifyouhaveanythoughtsorideasaboutthesematters.
WewouldcertainlybekeentohearofanyonewhowouldliketoassisttheCouncilinanyofthecommitteesthatitestablishes.Inthemeantime,planningcontinuesforourmajorrebuildingprogram,withweeklymeetingswiththearchitectslookingateveryaspectofthenewbuildingsandrefurbishedolderbuildings.Whilesomepreparatoryworkhasbegun,themajorconstructionisnotscheduledtostartuntilthemiddleofnextyear.Ournewclassroomswillnotbecompleteduntilthemiddleof2012.Allofthismeansthatwewillcontinuetooperatefairlymuchasweareforatleastthenextcoupleofyears,inthattheCPC-Year7sectionoftheschoolwillcontinuetooccupytheexistingprimaryschoolsiteandhavelessonbreaksatdifferenttimestotheYear8-12sectionoftheschool.
