Ourstudents
Studentsattendingtheschoolcancomefromasmanyas100differentcountries,bringingwiththemagreatdiversityoflanguages,customsandbeliefs.Ourstudentsareallnewly-arrived,non-Englishspeakingbackgroundstudentsofhighschoolage.Theyspendapproximatelythreetotwelvemonthsattheschool.Whentheyarereadytoleaveourschoolmoststudentstransfertoothergovernmenthighschoolsinordertocompletetheirstudiesintheschoolcertificateorhigherschoolcertificate.Somestudentswillchoosetobeginothercoursesofstudyatotherinstitutions,suchasTechnicalandFurtherEducation(TAFE),andsomemaygodirectlytowork.
Ourstaff
Thestaffconsistsofaprincipal,deputyprincipal,headteachers,classroomteachers,specialistmigrantcounsellors,schoolassistantsupportstaff(administrationandbi-lingual)andgeneralassistant.Allteachersatthisschoolaretrainedinatleasttwomethodologies,EnglishasaSecondLanguageandothersubjectareas.Manyoftheteachersarealsobi-lingual.
